You have the choice to land in Tagbilaran & take a 2 hr. land shuttle to Talibon OR land in Cebu & take an hour ride on the 'fastcraft' to Tubigon then another hour land shuttle to Talibon. The latter was suggested by the PGU (provincial govt. unit) BUT, if you want to avoid the hassle of frequent transfers, the Tagbilaran route might be more convenient.
Let us know if you prefer the boat ride since a Houstonian, Shirley Camacho, has a cousin in Cebu who may be able arrange it for you.
Let us know whatever route you take because the PGU will arrange a shuttle from TUBIGON or TAGBILARAN to TALIBON. Please arrange your flights accordingly & inform us your schedules.
The Surgical Team from California will take the first trip from Manila to Tagbilaran on Jan 25, 2015 and may occupy the shuttle buses and leave immediately for travel to Talibon. This will provide them ample time to check the OR, supplies and the surgeons to screen patients for the surgery
on the first day of the mission.Team volunteers are encouraged to take the early flights to Tagbilaran as much as possible. If you take the Fastcraft ferry, get the first trip so we should all arrive before 3:00 PM in Talibon, enough time to check into our hotels, freshen up & do minor preparations at the surgical & medical sites prior to the welcome ceremony in the evening (time & place TBA later).

We will try to assign each group (CA group, Chicago group, MSMT) to a certain hotel for the convenience of communication & transportation. The group leaders (Dr. Castro, Gigi Melendez, Dr. Agustin) should indicate which persons will room in together when they submit their list of missioners. There are family rooms that can accommodate 3-4 people.
Please pass on this info to other interested missioners.
We do need names of all missioners ASAP so we can update our website, arrange accommodation, prepare the name tags & certificates. Also please indicate T-shirt size of participants.
